Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a popular California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Videos uploaded on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a staircase adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on that day.
Three people on the road were harmed. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
