Chennai, Bengaluru offices declare holiday on Rajinikanth film : Rajinikanth’s Jailer will be released on August 10. Buzz around the Tamil film is at an all-time high with offices announcing holiday for Jailer release day.
Marking Rajinikanth’s first film in two years, Jailer promises to be a full action-packed entertainer. As fans gear up to see Rajinikanth back on the screen, The Economic Times reported that offices in Chennai and Bengaluru have announced leave for its employees on Jailer’s release day. Not only that, some companies have also handed free tickets to their employees. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer is set to hit theatres on August 10.

Offices shut for Jailer release
The film is gearing up for a grand release in theatres worldwide on Thursday. Jailer’s release is just two days away and the excitement among fans is visible, with many taking to social media to run countdowns for Jailer release. Amid expectations of a strong box office debut, a company’s holiday announcement on ‘account if the release of superstar Rajnikanth’s movie Jailer’ is going viral.
The company said in its notice that it declared a holiday on August 10 ‘to avoid piled up leave requests to the HR department’. The notice further said, “We also take the privilege of going the extra mile to support antipiracy by providing free tickets to employees…”
The movie marks Rajinikanth’s return to the big screen after a two-year break and sees him in the role of a retired police officer. Jailer marks his first collaboration with Nelson Dilipkumar.
The official trailer for Rajinikanth’s Jailer, titled Jailer Showcase, was released earlier this month. The trailer also gave a glimpse of Jackie Shroff as he threatens Rajinikanth over a phone call. Jailer also stars Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan.
The makers have roped in veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal for an extended cameo in the film. On August 5, the makers took to Twitter (or X) and released a new poster featuring Rajinikanth and Mohanlal together in one frame. They can be seen sitting on a couch and having a conversation. Sharing the poster, Sun Pictures wrote, “5 days to go for Jailer storm in theatres! Jailer from August 10.”
