New Delhi: Responding to previous Twitter President Jack Dorsey’s case that there was ‘pressure’ from India to hinder accounts covering the ranchers’ fights, Congress pioneer KC Venugopal said today that the public authority needs to stifle the resistance’s voice and for that reason they prohibited Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account.
In a meeting with the YouTube channel ‘Limits with Krystal and Saagar’ on Monday, Mr Dorsey, who ventured down from Twitter’s board last year, asserted that the Indian government had placed tension on Twitter and said that it will close down the organization in India and assault the places of its representatives.
“The assertion of the Twitter Chief is absolutely disturbing and stunning for us all. The whole government hardware is constraining the Twitter President to stifle and close the resistance’s voice. To that end they restricted Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account,” Mr Venugopal said.
“Where could the opportunity of articulation, opportunity of media be? They do this to smother disappointment. We will raise the issue in Parliament, however we will likewise raise the issue all through the country,” he said.
In the interim, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Advisory group president Nana Patole likewise upheld Mr Dorsey’s case that there was ‘pressure’ from India to impede accounts covering the ranchers’ fights and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) probably made such endeavors.
